Brenda Martin is a National PTA (NPTA) Social Media Ambassador and an NPTA Communications Committee member. She was the parent panelist on NBC’s Education Nation: “Stepping Up: The Power of a Parent Advocate” for Parenting Magazine. She has presented workshops at national, state and local conferences. She is a former IBM Corporation Computer Programmer and Product Planner, Founding President of UCAN, Inc, a nonprofit organization and has conducted a myriad of workshops as an Employability Skills Consultant at colleges and prisons. She is active in the schools, church and the community while working with youth and the elderly. Brenda was selected by the U. S. Department of Education as a “White House Champion of Change” in their “Winning the Future Across America” national series on Whitehouse.gov for her educational advocacy. She’s a Parenting Magazine’s Mom Congress-Kentucky delegate and the recipient of Knowledge Universe-KinderCare’s national Education Achievement Award.
